I started this page to help my students choose a book to read for my course. Instead of telling them what to read, I was hoping that the page would encourage them to read on. Hopefully, it has been so in some cases.
The selection of books is mine, and the criteria I used was mainly that I enjoyed them, or that I thought other readers would enjoy them. The information has been compiled from different sources, among them the web www.amazon.co.uk , where you can read more about the books and www.bibliomania.com, where you can find a very extensive selection of classics to read on-line as well as reviews, study guides, etc. I also had the help of a great reader and personal reviewer: Argentina Solís. She gives me the perspective of a good student who knows what she's talking about.
If you read a book and you would like to express your opinion about it, send me a short review and I'll add it to the book reference.
Enjoy!
